DMCC audit · Filing documents

The DMCC Summary Sheet is part of the audit submission—not a substitute for the statements.

A completed audit still needs a filing-ready pack. Know which documents are uploaded, who signs them and why the company should retain proof of submission.

What goes into the Member Portal request?

DMCC’s published application guidelines require the member company to upload two items using the designated online request: a copy of its audited financial statements and the Audited Financial Statements Summary Sheet, signed and stamped by the auditor. The Summary Sheet draws on the audited accounts; it does not replace the auditor’s report and complete statements.

The guidelines set the submission period at six months after the end of each financial year. A company should check its own Member Portal for the current request, any specific notice and confirmation that the upload was accepted.

Who signs and who files?

Management prepares and approves the financial statements and is responsible for the underlying books and judgements. The auditor examines the accounts independently, determines the opinion and signs the auditor’s report. The auditor signs and stamps the Summary Sheet as required by the DMCC application guidelines. The DMCC member company submits the pack through its portal.

When using outside help with the upload, make the responsibility and access arrangements explicit. Keep copies of the exact documents filed and the portal acknowledgement. An email saying the audit is complete is not proof that the required portal filing occurred.

Check the pack before uploading

  • The legal name, licence and financial year match across the statements, report and Summary Sheet.
  • The final signed statements include the auditor’s report, notes and comparative information required by the reporting framework.
  • The Summary Sheet figures agree to the final audited statements.
  • Required signatures, stamp and auditor letterhead are present.
  • The right portal service and financial period are selected.
  • File quality is readable, and a submission receipt or status is retained.

Does the branch-company provision change this?

DMCC’s guidelines say submission applies to subsidiaries and branch companies. Its Approved Auditors Rules contain a separate provision on the appointment of a DMCC-approved auditor for a branch company that already has a group auditor. Do not treat that provision as a general exemption from filing; assess the specific entity and group-auditor arrangements before appointment.

Use current authority material

Older deadline-extension posts were written for a particular year. For the ongoing rule, consult the DMCC application guidelines and its approved-auditor resources. SAIF can help plan the audit and explain the filing pack before the deadline.
